Our experience in this area goes back many years as this is the market sector that MXDigital Systems originally started trading in.

Most people think of wallboards when they consider how to display call information to agents, and indeed we can supply a variety of these devices, but technology moves on and these days the market tends to demand a more flexible device that can not only show the call statistics but also other relevant information in a rich format.

However don't discount the humble wallboard as this can often provide a cost effective solution and today's products can provide more than just call stats - for instance we have a solution that will display an RSS feed from the internet alongside the call data.

LED wallboards also tend to be readable over a greater distance thus reducing the number required to cover a given area. Some of the wallboard products we offer, particularly for the Cisco ACD market, don't even need any external software and can be configured to collect and display the data using a web browser. We also offer POE (Power over Ethernet) solutions so that all you need is a suitable network connection for these devices.

But more often we are asked to supply large LCD or Plasma type displays, although we don't generally recommend the latter due to screen-burn problems when these devices are left on for long periods displaying static data. Generally speaking, to display data on a large screen you will need one PC designated as a 'Server', running the software to gather the data, and another we refer to as a 'Player' which acts as a client and products the actual display output which is then sent to one, ore more, screens.

The smallest such system consists of one Server and one Player and it is possible to run all of these components on one machine making it a very cost effective solution. We can also supply video distribution systems that send the video signal to more than one display and, provided you want the same information on every screen, this is a very popular option.

Most of our solutions are software only meaning that any PC hardware required can be provided from your own resources but we can supply these as well, if required. Likewise we can, and often do, supply the LCD screen(s), mounting hardware and have a full installation service.

We tend to think of Call Statistics when considering such display systems but many of our solutions can also gather from other sources such as Help Desk systems, email servers and indeed any ODBC database.

Some of our solutions can also be used as a desktop solution in addition to the main display(s). This can be used, for instance, to show more detailed information or where the agent in question is unable to see the main display for some reason. The agent software is configurable, either by the user or by a central administrator, and can be set to allow a 'drill down' of the data so that more information can be requested by the user in real time.

Most of the solutions include a message facility which means that important information can be conveyed to the agents by a supervisor or other designated person. It is also possible to automate these messages so that, for instance, agents can be sent a message to login in when the call queue for their skill becomes too busy.
